River Road Rats Running Club
This blog has been amazing, in getting back I have still only gotten through 2/3 of it, and I know it's still growing. I'd like to use it while we still have everyone's attention to see if I can get another great thing running. I have gotten some positive feedback thus far from current runners, but I'd really like to start up the River Road Rats Running Club, as an informal running club for former RFXC runners.
I think this would be a great way to keep a contact network together for all the RF Alumni, as we didn't know who to email/call when we put on this event. There would be nothing formal to start other than just providing your contact info and location, and if you run a race independently in your neighborhood just put down the River Road Rats as your club affiliation. Eventually I think we'd get some jerseys made up for people who wanted to race with them.
If I get a positive response from any Alumni that are out there and still reading the blog, we'll see what we can do on the logistics end. Cause not only would this be cool, I think some of the RF alumni could take on groups like GVH or the Syracuse Chargers in the area too, which would be pretty cool as well. Thoughts... Comments...

I think an alumni club would be great. I was originally going to try to get some sort of alumni connection going, but just lacked the time to develop anything. I am willing to donate the ratfuckonline.com domain if somebody else wants to run it, and would be willing to host the site if not. I haven't had time to develop it yet, but if something were to actually happen on this front I would be willing to find the time.
The only problem with having ratfuckonline.com being a site for alum is that the domain may very well be blocked by the companies that we work for. Or it will raise red flags.
www.r-fonline.com is available, and solves those problems....
Very true, but I can't offer a domain that I haven't registered yet. And this is one that I happen to have registered and available. It is always possible, as well, to have more than one domain point at the same website.
Well, in aid of this I nixed the old crap I had at the domain and threw a new version of PhpBB on it. Obviously I haven't had time to come up with a site design yet; I'll have to get Bert to help me on that. I've put a couple forums up and will try to get a few things set in place to make it more useful as we go along. So, anybody interested in joining it, head over to http://www.ratfuckonline.com and join, then click on the usergroups and ask to join the RF alumni group. You can also reach it at http://www.WebsterRF.com/ratfuckonline and at some point I will probably make it so that you don't need any profanity to reach it, but at the moment that isn't available. As we come up with hosting solutions and new domain names we can figure that out. Mebbe RFAlumni.com or something like that.
Thanks Webster for offering a domain, I'm sure the technical end of this will work itself out, as we are all RIT people here. I just wanted to get an idea of interest, and like I said I have no other solid way to contact people, even recent alumni such as, Stalker, Wort, Fuzzy, Roscoe, Garland, and then back to some of the early 90s guys that were posting earlier. I'd gladly adorn a Road Rats Jersey with an RF tribute printed on the back, much like the short lived recent black and orange so-called RF jerseys the RIT team wore, as I plan on continuing running for many years yet, and don't plan on joining a club just yet. So like I said, just seeing if there are alumni out there who would want to keep in touch/adorn a jersey as well.

This sounds like a great idea. Us Pete Todd diciples really don't have much information as to what the team is up to these days.
